Research

My research is mainly in sequential analysis, especially sequential estimation. A large part of my work looks at the first- and second-order asymptotic behavior of sequential procedures, with applications to fixed-width and fixed-accuracy confidence procedures, minimum-risk estimation, changepoint detection, and related problems. I also participate in consulting and interdisciplinary collaborative research in areas such as linguistics and health care, contributing statistical modeling, sample size calculation, power analysis, and scientific writing.
